Bulls Win Two Straight: Looking For Three Against The Hoyas

Yesterday, the Bulls returned to their winning ways, defeating the Georgetown Hoyas 6-0.  The tone was sent early by pitcher Andrew Barbosa, who stuck out 13 Hoyas, and only gave up one hit through 6 innings. In the 1st inning, James Ramsay got South Florida’s offense started; hitting a two run homer to straight away right field.  The Bulls would score four more runs, ending an excellent team performance.

In the second game against the Hoyas, the Bulls pulled away with a 6-1 victory.  Today, the Bulls, were lead by another strong pitching performance from Joey Lovecchio, who allow one earned run on five hits in 7.2 inning of work.  On offense, the Bulls were anchored by lead off hitter Alex Mendez, who went 2-4 from the plate and batted in two runs. With the win, Lovecchio advances to 5-0 on the season, and is currently leading the team in wins.

Tomorrow, the Bulls, who are looking for their 2nd sweep of the season, finish a three game series against the Georgetown Hoyas.  The game starts at 1 PM ET and will be airing live on Bulls Cast.
