The transfer portal has turned many college football into vagabonds, moving from program to program and always in search for a better deal somewhere else.
Like all programs, USF has experienced both sides of the portal – some talent coming in, some talent going out.
The Bulls do have some talent coming in from elsewhere for next season. Tight end Wyatt Sullivan transferred in after spending three seasons at Florida Atlantic. The Bulls also added an early candidate for the All Name Team, safety Boogsie Silvera from McNeese State. He had a combined 85 tackles/assists and two interceptions.
Unfortunately, quarterback Izzy Carter is going out. The portal gives and the portal takes away.
There’s no use complaining about it because the portal is here to stay. But I thought it would be interesting to see how things worked out for those Bulls who transferred after the 2023 season.
It was, as you might guess, a mixed bag.
