We already knew that next Friday's game at undefeated North Texas was going to be a tough one for USF, but now UNT's president has prepared a special welcome for the Bulls.
President Harrison Keller announced that all classes scheduled after 12 p.m. on game day will be canceled. This is to allow students, faculty, and staff to attend pregame festivities before the 6:30 p.m. (CDT) game inside DATCU Stadium.
North Texas is 5-0 for the first time since 1959. The Bulls are 4-1 following their 52-26 win Friday night over Charlotte.

As frenzied as the atmosphere is likely to be, it's doubtful the Bulls will be too impacted by that. They have spent plenty of time in boistrous and hostile settings so far this season.
USF played in front of 89,909 fans at The Swamp in an 18-16 victory over Florida. The Bulls followed that up the next week as 66,591 looked on at Hard Rock Stadium when they played Miami.
A North Texas win would put the Mean Green in the driver's seat for a berth in the American Conference championship game. They have only one more game against a top-shelf conference opponent after this game. UNT plays Navy at home on November 1, but misses Memphis State and Tulane.
USF, on the other hand, plays both Memphis and Navy on the road in addition, of course to North Texas. Memphis and Navy are both unbeaten.
No need to get ahead of things, though. North Texas has USF's full attention -- and vice versa. The buildup and setting is what college football is all about.
