Social media has field day after terse postgame exchange between USF and FAU coaches
With its 44-21 victory over Florida Atlantic safely salted away, USF football coach Alex Golesh made headlines with the way he approached the traditional post-game handshake with Owls' coach Tom Herman.
The social media platform formerly known as Twitter went into hyperdrive. At least we know people were still watching after a game that lasted more than four hours and had a combined 19 penalties for 182 yards.

FAU head coach Tom Herman was acting classy but USF head coach Alex Golesh wasn’t going for it at all during the postgame handshake. The Bulls beat the Owls 44-21.

I think it is pathetic that Tom Herman got upset at Golesh for throwing to get the last 1st down, after he did an onside kick up a ton last year and tried to run up the score, and his coaches taunted USF players during the game. Herman just proved he is a thin skinned crybaby.

2) Golesh and Herman had bad blood dating to last year when Herman was going on fourth down against USF while up 56-14
3) Herman, known respecter of opponents and calm-headed individual at all levels of ball, is a clown
Herman kicked an onside on Golesh last year up 42-14 and this year Golesh went for 2 up big in the 4th. Didn’t look like ole Herman appreciated that.
