USF released its 2025 football schedule Friday afternoon, including four weeknight games – three at Raymond James Stadium – and a daunting first three games.
Kickoff times and television arrangements will be announced at a later date.
As head coach Alex Golesh enters his third year with the Bulls, College Football News chose USF No. 1 in its preseason power rankings of American Athletic Conference teams.
We already knew that USF’s first three games would be a gauntlet. They open on August 28 at home against Boise State, a playoff participant in 2024.
The next two are at Florida on September 6 and Miami on September 13.
All three teams are ranked in The Athletic’s “Way Too Early Top 25.”
After a home game against South Carolina State on September 20, USF gets a week off before starting American Athletic Conference play with back-to-back Friday night games.
They’ll open AAC play against Charlotte on October 3 at Ray-Jay followed by a trip to North Texas on October 10.
Homecoming is set for October 11 against Florida Atlantic. This rivalry has gotten a little frisky after FAU ran it up on the Bulls in 2023 on Homecoming day, followed by USF returning the favor last season with a blowout win on the Owls’ Homecoming game.
That game was punctuated by the abrupt “handshake” by USF coach Alex Golesh to his FAU counterpart Tom Herman. It made national headlines, and Herman was fired shortly after that.
After another week off, the Bulls head to Memphis on October 25 before returning home for a Thursday night game against UTSA on November 6.
The Bulls travel to Navy on November 15 followed by a trip to UAB on November 22.
USF completes the regular season at home against Rice on November 29.
The Bulls will not play AAC members Tulane, Temple, Army, or Tulsa.
USF finished last season 7-6, including a five-overtime win over San Jose State in the Hawaii Bowl.
