USF picked up three quick football commitments after hosting recruits over the weekend for their official visits, moving 247sports.com to rank the Bulls' 2027 prep class first in the American Conference.
The Bulls added offensive lineman Lawson Bentley from Calvary Day School in Savannah, Ga. He is 6-2, 280 pounds, and had offers from at least 12 other schools, including Memphis, East Carolina, and Wake Forest.
Lawson is said to have solid footwork and mobility, which could give him a chance to see playing time earlier than most incoming freshmen.
Adding size and depth to the offensive line is a priority, given USF's losses there in the Transfer Portal. New head coach Brian Hartline has guard Thomas Shradere returning from last year and added reinforcements through the portal, including tackle Michael Wooten from Arizona at tackle, center Cash Hudson from Missouri State, and guard Caleb Cook from Georgia Southern.

The Bulls also added prep commitments from edge rusher Christian Stowe from Shelby, N.C. and running. back Abram Hilton from Sylvania, Ga.
Stowe committed to the Bulls despite having visits scheduled to Charlotte and East Carolina. He had previously visited Western Kentucky and East Tennessee State.
Hilton had offers from Pitt, Georgia Southern, Army, and Navy.
According to MaxPreps, last season the 6-0, 205 pound Hilton gained 1,602 yards with 18 touchdowns for Scrivin County HS in Sylvania, Ga. He had nine games with 100 yards or more, including with 235 yards.

The Bulls could be in the running for defensive lineman Jayden Agberodiola, a 6-3, 340-pounder who, according to 247Sports, has five offers from SEC schools -- Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.
The website rates his interest in USF, Arkansas, and Maryland as "warm."
