USF has beaten two ranked teams to start the season. Now, the Bulls are ranked themselves.
USF jumped into the Associated Press Top 25 poll at No. 18 on Sunday afternoon. Beating 25th-ranked Boise State earned them votes in the poll last week. Knocking off 13th-ranked Florida in The Swamp on Saturday boosted the Bulls to their first Top 25 ranking in approximately seven years.
Now, the Bulls focus on the third game in what was often called a “gauntlet” to open the season when they travel to Miami to face the 5th-ranked Hurricanes on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
The loss knocked Florida, which was a 17.5-point favorite, out of the Top 25.
Miami has opened as a 16.5-point favorite on FanDuel.

If the Bulls beat Miami, they would become just the fifth team to open a season with three wins over ranked opponents. The last one: Miami, in 1987.
Before starting this season, USF had won just twice in its last 31 games against ranked opponents.
The list of superlatives keeps growing for the Bulls. With the win at Florida, they became the state’s first team to win in the home stadiums of all six FBS programs in the state — Florida, Florida State, Miami, Florida Atlantic, UCF, and FIU.
And quarterback Bynum Brown extended his streak without an interception 240 consecutive passes. That is a school record.
