The tipoff times for South Florida’s men’s basketball games in the upcoming season are an indication of the increasing stature of the program.

The times, announced Monday, include 17 games on linear television outlets. Those are traditional distribution outlets like over-the-air networks or the regular ESPN and CBS Sports platforms.

The first of 17 linear TV appearances happens three days after the Nov. 2 opener when the Bulls meet DePaul on November 5 on TruTV.

TruTV also televises NCAA tournament early-round games.

The Bulls will also appear on 14 linear ESPN networks (non-ESPN+), starting on November 29 when they play St. Louis in the American-A10 showdown.

USF’s Yuengling Center home arena will be featured in eight broadcasts on either ESPN or ESPN2, starting with the Alabama game on December 16.

Other highlights include the Bulls first two American Conference games — at Tulsa and home against Memphis. Those games will be shown on ESPN 2.

The Bulls have earned increasing respect in Division I college basketball circles in recent years. They have won two of the last three regular-season conference titles and also claimed the conference tournament title last season. They advanced to the NCAA tournament where they battled Louisvllle to the wire before falling 83-79.

Last season’s team, coached by Bryan Hodgson, finished with a 25-9 record. That tied the school record for wins in a season set in 2023-24 by the late Amir Abdul-Rahim.

New Bulls head coach Chris Mack is no stranger to high-level post-season play. In 15 seasons as a head coach, his teams have nine NCAA Tournament appearances, including four Sweet 16 appearances and one Elite Eight. Owns an 11-9 record in NCAA Tournament games, and he led Xavier to a No. 1 seed in the West Region of the tournament in 2018.
