Former USF quarterback Timmy McClain is apparently on the move again.
After stops with the Bulls, UCF, and Arkansas State, McClain has entered the transfer portal again. When he finds a new home, it will be his fourth school in four years.
Maybe McClain felt he had to catch up with another former Bulls quarterback, Jordan McCloud. He, too, suited up for four different teams since 2019 – USF, Arizona, James Madison, and Texas State.
He was the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year when he left James Madison for Texas State. This season he threw for 2,920 yards and 29 touchdowns.

ERIKSEN: “OUR EXCITING BRAND OF SOFTBALL WILL NOT DISAPPOINT”
As USF softball prepares to tackle a schedule where eight of their 30 opponents made the NCAA regionals last season and two of them advanced to the College World Series, long-time coach Ken Eriksen is optimistic.
"Staying with the mantra 'challenge yourself every day,' I feel once again the softball schedule for this spring will not only challenge our team on its journey towards winning the conference championship but also showcase the exciting, fast-paced sport of women's softball," Eriksen said.
"The national competition speaks for itself, and the stands are usually filled for our games. Our exciting brand of softball will not disappoint."
USF will travel to the Longhorn Invitational on February 28, which will include a game against Texas, last season’s national runner-up.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE READY TO GO
The new USF women’s lacrosse team will make the program’s debut on February 7 against Kennesaw State at Corbett Stadium.
The game time is 7 p.m.
The schedule includes three programs that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season, including a battle with Mercer in USF’s first-ever road game.
The Bulls will host the Florida Gators on February 18. The Gators were 17-2 last season and made to the national semifinals.
SOCCER’S GEORGIA BROWN EARNS ACADEMIC HONOR
The yearly Academic All-America Team named by the College Sports Communicators included USF’s Georgia Brown.
Brown was just one of seven student-athletes to be a repeat selection to the Academic All-America Division I team.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore. They must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have competed in 90 percent or started in at least 66 percent of the institution’s matches.
It was the second-consecutive CSC Academic All-America honor for Brown. She is one of only seven student-athletes with a repeat selection to the team.
